5 Ways You Should Perceive Someone Having Zero Social Media Presence

Today we’re gonna discuss the ways we could look at others who might have zero social media presence. It’s crazy because some of these people might even be tech savvy. We’re looking at a mindset shift that we’re gonna challenge ourselves with and hopefully influence others to have if we execute correctly.

They Put Their Mental Health First

Mental health is a highly priority for most of the world at this point in society. If you discover someone that’s clearly prioritizing this aspect of their life, they’re actually trying their best to live better. Your company could cater to this desire if you handle it with care. Maybe you could launch a campaign that clearly serves the aspect of life that they truly value. This is where you have get more interested in this particular demographic because there’s a well represented community that you could possibly tap in to. I’m not saying that you have to become a fully certified psychologist, but treating your potential client as more of a friend extends a welcome that they’re sure to appreciate. It’s the same way that you would treat someone you’re interested in starting a relationship with: cater to their interests. They clearly have an objection to social media that they’re just not comfortable with overcoming yet. All you have to do is share these struggles in a positive light. They’re going to be sure to see it just because of how powerful social media is. Whether it makes the news or travels through word of mouth, it’s going to reach them. The more friendly you appear to them, the more likely they’ll be to support the business you’re pushing.

Think More Highly Of Them

I’m challenging you to have a better view of these type of individuals. Surprisingly enough they’re starting to become the new minority. There’s actually a strong chance that they’re a millennial— or older. As we should know, the world works in a way where we’re taught very early to embrace what’s popular and ostracize anything that’s not. You have to take a personal accountability for these people that aren’t having much of a voice in the digital world. It’s a dinosaur effect that we’re gonna have to keep alive through the whole point we’re on social media for anyway—creating content. Each piece that we create is an opportunity to bring value to the next person. Why not create some content around a narrative that’ll share stories of people we’re aware don’t have much of a digital footprint. It’s a communication issue that could be capitalized for a dual benefit. The first is potentially creating more buzz for our own brand. Second is providing a gift for these people who aren’t yet ready to communicate with the large majority of the world that’s trying to learn more about someone else.

There’s a Valuable Psyche

This ties in more with thinking highly of the specimen that chooses not to have a voice on social media. The difference is that you’re not necessarily taking a side with their personal beliefs just yet. These people we’re discussing might not even be the best people morally, but they absolutely have some form of value in their mental that deserves a spotlight of some sort. If you’re not sure where their value is yet, you’re probably not thinking critically enough yet. They’re valuable though because they made it this far in life functioning in society without one of the strongest communication tools we’ve ever seen. That takes an incredibly unique individual to be so stuck in their ways to still get along in life without it. They have to be someone that’s mentally strong to some effect. There’s definitely people on social media that could learn how to apply it in their own lives. It’s converting and transferring a mindset that you’re aware of to simply place it in the minds of someone that’s seeking to learn more about it anyway. Again, it’s all about approach when you’re figuring out how to do it in an ethical way that doesn’t violate the demographic we’re discussing and strategically approach the group we wanna speak to online. You’re really gonna function as the middle man of a goldmine that could feed everybody for lack of better terms.

More Time For The Real World

Another way we have to see the demographic we’re discussing is through their desire to get more time for the real world. It should be the obvious thing that they want in life because they’re avoiding a large portion of the internet. If you break it down to where there’s 2 sides to the world being one that’s fake in theory and real when you’re offline, that’s where they’re choosing to spend most of their time. It might be strange to accept, but there’s people who want to go without life on the internet. All of their reasons vary since they’re still unique individuals same as some of us were before social media, but there’s something that they believe is more attractive outside of these platforms we chose to embrace. This is an opportunity to make things more about ourselves and challenge ourselves to help them capture that same beauty they’re seeing that we’re probably not at the moment. Again, there’s a chance that they share an interest we already have, but we have to actually find them. They’re not online, so this likely would call for us stepping outside more ourselves and connect with them in a way that’s not so invasive. There’s a level of introversion that they undeniably have, no matter how outspoken they may appear offline. Remember that we have to see ourselves as being a middle man of communication with helping them transfer whatever it is they’re passionate about online.

Still Searching For a Specific Job

The last thing that we should think of these people who don’t have much of a social media presence is that they’re likely trying to still find a specific job. Let’s assume that these people are at least working class. They’re probably early on in their career and I could confidently canvass for others who also believe that they just are looking for the kind of work that provides more freedom — no pun intended. They probably don’t have as much freedom to operate creatively. If we see that as an opportunity to convert, there’s a solid chance that they could even work with us at some point. There’s so many pressures in the world that convince people early on that they need to do just enough to stay confined to the first thing they get. We’re talking about working and this applies effectively. If we focus on growing our brands to a point where it could help provide for another, it opens the door to collaborate with new talent potentially. You show enough promise to possibly lead these people to a much brighter future than what they’re experiencing currently, it creates a demand that we could deliver with — providing a job they absolutely love. This might be where you need to do some self reflection and truly consider whether you could grow the brand to a point where it expands outside of yourself. Your challenge could possibly be at the point where you reveal the positive future that social media could bring to this demographic of people.
