Like Learning To Drive Stick – Entrepreneurship Is Much Harder Than People Think

Today we’re gonna discuss a personal reflection I’ll be making on the moment I realized entrepreneurship is much harder than people think.

I had to do just a moment of reflection to arrive to this conclusion of having this to say any entrepreneurship: it’s like learning to drive stick.

Let the record reflect that I don’t know how to technically drive stick shift. I’ve had friends who knew how to do that—even a couple family members, but not me.

I’d have these people take the time to explain for me how they picked up this skill.

I’m not gonna fake and pretend that I’m knowledgeable on this specific subject, but there’s something I can easily parallel to the task of being a professionally respected entrepreneur though — it’s the same as doing everything on your own.

There’s automatic and stick shift — 2 clearly understood terms that should be easy to know the difference with. I say entrepreneurship is the same because it’s a manual mode.

You have to literally take the time to elevate each step that’s needed to continue moving forward in your destination. There’s more to your process than just stepping on the gas.

Final Thoughts

Maybe the stick shift example wasn’t the ultimate reference to make, but it made sense enough to actually speak to this.

I just don’t feel as if I’m being literal enough on it being an actual moment, so I’ll try and get even more specific.

An example that might do this message even more justice would be a realization I made a couple days back in realizing that I’ve been paying bills on training that specifically relate to becoming an entrepreneur for going on about a year now.

That’s incredibly stressful when you think of how I’m expected to produce work that’s quality and have it go towards a program that many people would hold back on doing simply because they’re stuck in their own ways.

The toughness to be even more direct is in having to stick with something that you believe in despite all naysayers who have a valid reason to explain how something isn’t working simply because they don’t see results that they would want for themselves.

It’s hard to continue moving forward when that time comes. Here I am though!

Here’s my question for you all that might be interested in entrepreneurship yourself. It’s without a doubt a flashy profession for people who claim they want freedom.

I wanna genuinely know what was an experience you’ve had yourself that made entrepreneurship appear to be something that’s not made for everybody.

It’s important that we’re able to articulate this because it’ll put everybody in the places that they’re supposed to be.

Let’s save everybody on time not getting wasted in a place they’re not built for anyway.
