Building your personal brand from scratch is exactly what I’ve been focusing on since I’ve made a social media account. It’s shaping the way others see you. It’s mainly dependent on your core values, perspective definition, and ability to solve specific problems.
Social Media Being a Foundation For Personal Branding

I’d like to believe that I started growing up in a time when social media was for the true pioneers- my generation knew it was the thing to do with your friends, but only a select few would be able to comprehend that taking it seriously would set you up for long term success (based on who you were off the internet)
My first start at this thing was on the dinosaur known as MySpace— my first start at being public with prioritizing which of my friends mattered most.
It’s best to get started with this campaign as soon as possible while we’re in the most progressive times we’ve ever seen in technology. There’s so many platforms that are made for different types of users, and because of that, you’re given several options with finding something that fits you best.
Discovering Your Core Values

I’d like to share 5 principles I try my best to guide myself with every day— it goes:
- Leave it all on the mat
- Win anyways
- Respond better than you receive
- Jab Jab Jab, Right Hook
- Allow gratitude to be the attitude at every opportunity
These principles were possible through past moments that were peaks in my life. Some of them were adopted from influential people I’ve gotten to meet.
Leave It All On The Mat

Leaving it all on the mat is a concept I had emphasized during my time as a student athlete in wrestling. It’s something that’s still preached to even this day.
Win Anyways
Win anyways is another philosophy I adopted from wrestling when I finally got into college. It was something coach would tell the rest of us as what should be our response to active adversity we would sometimes face against opposing forces. An example: a questionable ref would make calls that were conveniently against our team, but if we completely beat and dominated our opponent to where the win was undeniable, it takes the ref out— thus, that embodied the philosophy of win anyways.
Respond Better Than Receiving
This is more of a special spin on a common saying that goes “life is 10% what happens to you and 90% of how you respond”. It might be even closer than I believe, but it’s still a philosophy I stick with nonetheless. If anything I believe it’s closely related to the earlier message in controlling what you can and ignoring things you can’t. You can’t control what things are directed to you all the time, but if you’re extremely competent in having a counter, you’re going to thrive! I would say I just started embodying this at a noticeably better level just within this year really. I’ve had moments of brilliance, but it feels more concentrated at this point.
Jab Jab Jab, Right Hook
This is a book I bought several years back when I joined a success group—there’s a better way to define that group, but point is that they promoted plenty of personal development and one of the success coaches they pushed heavy was Gary Vaynerchuk. At the time his biggest book was this very one— it summed up the entire message that I’m actually getting at here.
Allow Gratitude To Be The Attitude At Every Opportunity
Allowing gratitude to be an attitude you exercise at every opportunity can be one of the best things to do when you’re reaching the end of a project you start. If there’s one thing that I learned through my countless times of starting and completing projects that the backend of projects tend to be the toughest parts to complete. You get more pressure in reaching deadlines, unpredictability with reliability of partners through the timeline, and other things that could very well be out of your control—although you might be completely invested in the outcome of the assignment.
Defining Your Perspective
I live in a point of time where I’m Feeling most woke on what it takes to have originality that’s respected. That might not be something you care about too much, and I get it— cooperation Feels more important. Your perspective is the worldview you hold. I can even reflect personally on my experience at my college that held Presbyterian values.
For those unaware of what that means, it’s a universal approach to accepting religion.
The point however is that we would hold an event every year Called Convocation . It’s something that ties directly into this message because we all hold our own opinions and such that shapes how we see the world. Because of that, it influences how we operate and engage with the rest of the world eventually it becomes our personal brand.
Ability to Solve Specific Problems
Earning a qualification of becoming an expert in particular tasks increases your intrigue when trying to display it on social media.
