Why Artistry Is Helping Me Live Without Restriction (5 Reasons Explained)

I’ll be explaining why artistry is helping me live without restrictions on The Professional Freedom Expert.

Why Artistry Is Helping Me Live Without Restriction

  • Independently Creating Is My New Job
  • I’m eliminating perfectionism out of my worldview
  • Being open minded is now a standard
  • I’m taking back control over values that I had to compromise on in the past
  • I can pick and choose whoever I work with more than the average person

Independently Creating Is My New Job

Being able to create independently is my new job and that’s something I‘m highly grateful for.

So what that means is that I’m able to swap out the corporate structure for what’s considered work.

I get to redefine what my work day looks like, so whatever‘s priority gets to be at the top of my list.

I get to execute on the things that really matter to me, and with that is having more eagerness to get after each working day.

I get to live a life that feels more meaningful.

That’s where now I get to focus on more higher energy and project-based work, which is actually what I grew up doing since high school.

Now I get to do this in the real world and not having it be attached to whatever my degree was, which is communication, ironically.

But the independent aspect of creating is that I’m calling the shots now on what product or service needs to be put out there.

There’s other actual jobs with a structure under a more corporate umbrella where you’re told what to make and it’s usually in mass production.

Whatever it is that the company wants you to make, you’re going to have to create it and continually do that same thing.

Eventually you get tired of doing that and you lose the passion in whatever it is that you’re doing.

I just don’t think that’s the case with the work that I do now in my artistry.

Since I’m led by what I feel compelled to share, that makes everything that I release and create in the moment matter for me.

And that’s really what is going to make the difference in the quality of my content.

You can tell when somebody cares about the work that they’re doing and whether they put their heart into it.

That’s just a opportunity that I don’t take lightly.

I’m eliminating perfectionism out of my worldview

Eliminating perfectionism for my worldview is another part of artistry that helps me live without restriction.

Because I‘m focused more on executing there’s not much that I have to put as far as thought into creating the absolute best piece of work.

I’m able to think that way since I understand that there is not too much weight that’s put into one single piece that I create.

I can care deeply about what it is that I’m working on in the moment, what’s getting ready to release, and find excitement in it.

But I could also understand that the work’s still not done after that, no matter how much I like what it is that I’m putting out or what I think everyone else is going to receive it to be.

It’s never going to be as good as what I think or what they do.

It’s a perfectionism mentality that ends up holding most people back from being great.

These are the people that won’t pull the trigger on projects because they’re afraid that it’s not going to be their absolute best when in reality, if they just executed more, they would have gotten closer to whatever their main goal is instead of waiting and wasting a significant amount time.

But perfectionism’s now something that I don’t see as being a thing in my life and the other creatives that I respect, or other artists that are under the same umbrella.

They understand that as well and it’s a shift that you end up making once you do decide to make artistry your career.

You want to understand that it’s never going to be your best work and it’s likely not going to be the worst thing that you put out either.

Even if that is the case, you can only get better from producing and executing.

Being open minded is now a standard

Being open-minded is now the new standard for anyone that’s an artistry and I find this to be the case just because the industries that call for creatives is expanding.

We’re finding new people that are finding a creative spin to add or whatever edge that is innovative in reflection and it ends up being something that wasn’t seen before and most people that follow whoever the creative is or whatever the work might be ends up having to learn to embrace it.

Most things that we’ve seen in recent times that was considered innovative ends up becoming uh huge hit, and everybody that ended up embracing it early on sees a major benefit as a result when me and my artistry, I see this as being close in comparison because there might be something that I don’t understand in the moment, but because being open-m minded is a standard, it’s allowing me to listen with open ears watch with wider eyes and just be more receptive to whatever it is that I’m experiencing.

It might not even be something that I could see myself doing on my personal time, but since I see it as my job, I challenge myself in ways to where I am going to do something that’s out of the norm or maybe even out of my comfort zone at the time.

And in most cases, it ends up paying off pretty well and it’s just another reminder of how I’m able to live life without restrictions because I expand my worldview in just unexpected ways.

I’m taking back control over values that I had to compromise on in the past

Being able to take control over values that I had to compromise on in the past is another benefit of artistry that I believe is helping me live life without restriction.

For most people, it’s just aligning their current financial or life choices with their core beliefs.

It’s setting clear boundaries and practicing the self-compassion for past decisions.

I’m able to be more at peace with my decisions and choices because I understand what the long-term game is in this capacity.

I would have to bridle my tongue early on in life before I would even think about choosing artistry because that is what I am supposed to do in society.

It’s the standard, the norm, and choosing this is also making the decision to break away from it and help redefine it again.

And these are things that people might not think about too often, but when you think of what your basic rights, feelings and thoughts are, you get to unapologetically own them with artistry.

At least in how I see it, and it’s empowering in many ways because you find gratitude if you’re mindful in understanding that not many people get to exercise these rights and share their opinions in a way that actually has weight.

That’s because you‘re considered the new expert in whatever it is you’re talking about.

You decide to become the authority figure for whatever topic it is that you‘re interested in because you’re going to put in that time that’s not done by many other people.

And it’s done out of genuine interest.

Everyone that decides to listen to you understands that you‘re speaking from compassion, from passion in general.

So whatever you’re speaking on is something that you do feel some type of way about and it’s not just a bunch of fluff that’s being spewed out for the sake of hearing yourself talk or just to get someone else to hear you.

You would talk about this for free or just on your own time.

You don’t need to clock in to speak about whatever it is that you enjoy talking about at this point.

And that is a freedom of speech when you break that down.

I can pick and choose whoever I work with more than the average person

Being able to pick and choose who you work with in artistry is another benefit that is severely underrated.

This is another form of freedom that you get to take control of in many ways.

Because you’re not forced to do anything that you don’t care to do (to an extent) [that has to be emphasized] that it’s still within the boundary.

There are going to be meetings that you go to or discussions you might have with people that you might not even care to engage with, however, you have more control.

You set yourself up in ways to where you’re going to be in the rooms with people that you are bound to share a genuine passion for interest.

So that’s not to say that you will never have to ever work with someone that you don’t care for or to hear again when you choose artistry, it’s just you have more control.

And that control happens if you set yourself up correctly.

So if you’re someone that likes to think a few steps ahead and really have things organized and preplanned in your life, artistry in this sense will be very empowering, since you’re going to be doing a majority of your own content.

You’re going to control who you’re speaking to in many ways and that ends up setting you up for a way where you are able to pick who you end up working with, what you collaborate on and it’s going to work that way with others too.

There’s going to be people that see your work and they’re going to want to work with you so they might reach out to you and ask you if you’re interested.

It’s going to be completely up to you.

You’re creating your value the same way others will be too. And like will attract the like in that sense.

So that’s just another way that artistry has a benefit in being able to have control over your life and decisions that you make, which many people in the world feel that they don’t have.
