I’ll be discussing what “being rich” looks like to me.
Does it manifest in the form of luxury? Peace of mind? What is it? We’re gonna get to the bottom of this.
Let’s do it.
What “being rich” Looks Like
Being rich looks like abundance to many. They’re in a state where they’re comfortable living the life they do when it’s time. Rich people are typically much more focused on the moment than they are anywhere else. They don’t put too much emphasis on aesthetics than they do experiences.
Having abundance present
Having abundance in your life is merely a mindset. In most cases it’s your perspective on things.
Usually it’s dealing with resources and other commodities that are considered valuable globally.
An abundant mindset is one where you don’t run out of opportunity because you’re sure there’s always another.
This is a crucial difference between the rich and poor.
Unlocking the abundant mindset usually calls for being in a state of gratitude.
You have to be grateful for whatever you’re experiencing in the current moment to invite more of it in the future.
You’re not focused on the lack of things. There’s no such thing as not enough. You understand that you always have the exact amount you need. And in most cases, enough to share.
Being comfortable
Being comfortable is a physical state of being. There’s not much resistance you’re experiencing.
A comfortable individual is one that feels secure with where they’re at. They don’t have much worry if any.
Nothing feels painful to this person because they’re in a state of ease. They actually feel good about what‘s going on.
Whether it’s a moment being experienced or challenge that’s brought forward, they’re calm.
It’s synonymous with being tranquil in not having chaos or things being hectic present in your life.
Satisfaction is another word that comes to mind in not feeling like less than what’s needed to be enough is getting done.
They’re not stressed out about anything either. They have generally positive emotions.
Focusing on your experiences
Focusing on your experiences is a high level technique that unlocks abundance. To do it that requires being able to reflect.
You have to be able to analyze what’s going on in real time. It’s a form of mindfulness that can reveal plenty about the current moment that’s happening.
Seeing things through a positive lens in this case contributes to the goal of prioritizing the journey over the destination.
You’re enjoying steps 2-4 arguably more than the final step being #5 in theory.
You become a more enjoyable person when you can adopt this attitude because you prove that you’re able to last for the long haul.
It’s that case for any team you plan on contributing towards. The value lies in that you’re able to become resilient as a result.
There’s gonna be road bumps along the way, and the person who’s able to operate more in the moment understands this.
They also will have the best response to these issues when they arise.
It’s therapeutic on an emotional level when you have access to these type of people.
Disinterest in flashiness
Being disinterested in flashiness is another trait of the rich. I don’t necessarily agree with it, but it’s a trend nonetheless.
It shows in spending habits. Some of the most popular ways is:
- choice of clothing
- Bargain hunting
Anything you could think of that involves spending. That’s not to say that they’re cheap either.
It ties in with what was mentioned earlier: the rich cares more about experiences than they do appearance.
That’s why most choose to spend frugally when it comes to buying designer clothing and will happily dish finds out when it comes to trips or even dining experiences.
This also translates well for entrepreneurs.
The leaders that also end up becoming the richest also prioritize having a functionally sound product first before one that only looks cool.
Final thoughts
Being Rich looks like many things to different people. The rich do have things in common though.
They’re what our point are again:
- disinterest in flashiness
- Comfort is prioritized
- Focus on experiences
- Abundant mindset
The rich again prioritizes feelings and experiences more than how they look.
