Passive income can be made with the assistance of a business.
The idea is where you earn without needing to constantly update or do any active work with whatever your income producer is.
You should be able to sleep and make money regardless.
My favorite approach is building content around affiliate marketing links.
This holds so much weight with me because content creation can be a fun process for the creative.
You put your time and effort into a piece that sticks around forever.
You’re doing your best to make it the best quality possible, and ideally it circulates around the internet.
It inspires and motivates an audience that cares about the topic or person creating the message.
From there money circulates and eventually goes into the pocket of the creator.
So what you do today can pay you for the rest of the year.
That concept demonstrates the idea of passive income best.
Eliminating The Trade of Time For Money
This is a mindset that’s incredibly difficult to escape since most of us are trained to earn a living working the traditional 9-5.
That essentially captures the concept of trading your time for money: you earn an hourly rate or maybe even salary for spending a set amount of time with a company
If the goal is to make more without working harder, this way of earning has to stop eventually.
You can get raises or even bonuses but your earning potential is capped to a certain extent.
I’ve been without this method of earning for years at a time, and teeter tottered with income producing jobs that pay this way.
I’ll be first to share that having at least a few hundred dollars saved and ready to be put towards other ways of making a living can get you through that hump.
