Today I’m gonna be talking about time freedom’s ability to control scheduling and workflow

It’s one of the 3 legs that contribute to the existence of The Professional Freedom Expert.

Controlling Your Own Schedule and Workflow

Controlling Your own schedule and workflow is probably the main attraction of time freedom in general. It’s a cornerstone of organization, and proves that you’re successful in some capacity when it’s finally obtained.

Managers might be most familiar with this aspect of freedom in having to be disciplined with their daily operations to have a consistent workday every time they choose to clock in.

I personally automate my life through habit building. Specifically I’m focusing more on performance based activities. If I focus on completing a certain amount of tasks (ideally the most important) early on in the day, I suddenly feel there’s more time to my day as a result.

If you’re looking for a way to automate your everyday workflows without giving up too much control, the best way to go about it is with the assistance of tools. Tools help create automation! There’s 4 types of professional time: Punctual, Formal, Valuable, and Emotional.

Punctual is keeping the concept of time conscious. You’re doing everything possible to meet that start time. Punctuality is one of the first ways we learn to respect time.

Formal is another type of time in where you are keeping a more specific emphasis on whatever the event is. In most cases it deals with business. It doesn’t matter what kind either. It’s a lot more of a serious feel to this time, but not necessarily something to be taken overly serious.

Valuable time is whatever the parties value most. It might not be at the same exact level, but it’s of substance to everybody involved. It’s important to acknowledge this because it’s content-heavy focused when observed in greater detail.

Emotional Time is the most fluid of them all. It could easily be considered synonymous with what therapy does. It’s meant to be a dump of feelings that are valued. Not in all cases does the content have to do with the emotions being thrown around either.
