What’s the difference between visibility and actual brand awareness?

I’ll be revealing what the difference between visibility and actual brand awareness is.

The Difference Between Visibility and Brand Awareness

The difference between visibility as a single concept and brand awareness is a phenomenon that becomes an inevitable lesson in something I’d like to call mitigated risk management. There’s several specific examples that would apply to each benefit, but when applied to what the expected outcome is having a more confirmed expectation that could be assumed.

Mitigated Risk Management

Mitigated risk management as I define it means that you take into account the possible liabilities and anything else that could go wrong. Break it down as a part of science and it’ll explain that there’s an in between that’s not understood with 2 areas: visibility and brand awareness. To understand it as a whole, that takes paying attention to each individual concept. First is visibility.

Visibility

I first applied visibility as an end result. But you need to know how to get more visibility. We understand that there’s a plethora of different ways to earn this, but you have to start somewhere, so let’s choose to apply one of the most obvious; social media.

One thing that we can safely assume with social media is that there’s only so many platforms you can operate on. Another thing is the amount of active users are documented. We can make expectations because of that fact.

A takeaway that could and should be emphasized is that there’s more confinement with visibility in the example we’re choosing to run with.

Let’s move on to brand awareness.

Brand awareness

Brand awareness in our analysis can be recycled based off our first concept, visibility. It’s an end goal again. Understanding how to get there could be a disconnect, but it’s an easy fix. This we believe is more of an introspective challenge that has to be focused on to achieve that result.

Honestly it shifts as you get different goals with your brand.

It might not be the most popular response, but brand awareness easily becomes more spiritual as you dive into its meaning.

The risk shows itself here with making life changes and similar shifts in your livelihood for the sake of an image.

Final thoughts

The difference between visibility and brand awareness by our definition again is through the coined phrase: mitigated risk management.

One isn’t better than the other necessarily, but it’s important to look at it through this lens because it’s the fine details that makes the difference in where you spend your time, energy, and focus.

Generally they’re similar, but one is attention for the public, and the other’s more for yourself.

There’s risk on both ends, but it’s more a decision you’re making on which party needs more attention.
